About the Opportunity
Listings on this page:

Most deadlines are based
on a "postmark date" unless the more detailed listing indicates it
is for the receipt of materials.
Be sure to check!

The symbol $$$ signals a competition or other program that assesses a fee for application or participation. The Forum endorses neither these programs nor others that limit participation on the basis of age, sex or similar criteria.

The Forum makes every effort
to ensure the accuracy of listings
but is not responsible for errors
or omissions or for any
misrepresentations.

We receive these listings from
a number of sources, and occasionally deadline dates or submission requirements are changed without our knowledge after the information is posted here.

Although we make every effort
to update information as soon
as we learn of any changes,
users of these listings are
urged to double-check all necessary nformation via each
sponsor organization's website
or email before applying.

How to submit Opportunity announcements to ACF:

Individuals and organizations submitting announcements are asked to include full submission details, contact information, and clearly indicate if any fees
are involved in applying.

To submit an item for these on-line Opportunities listings,
please send your information to jmichel@composersforum.org

All submitted listings deemed of interest and value to our membership will be posted here as soon as possible.

The Forum also publishes Sounding Board, a quarterly print newsletter with a circulation of circa 3000 copies. All Opportunties submitted on-line will also be included in Sounding Board if their deadline dates will be deemed current upon the publication of each quarterly issue (see below).

If you wish your Opportunity announcement to be included in
a particular issue of Sounding Board, here are the deadlines for the receipt of the information if it is to be included:
  • December 1 for the Jan./Feb./Mar. issue
  • March 1 for the Apr./May/June. issue
  • June 1 for the July/Aug/Sept. issue
  • September 1 for the Oct./Nov./Dec. issue.
Please note: As most of our members receive Sounding Board by bulk mail, submitted opportunities with deadlines falling between Jan 1-15 will not be included in Jan./Feb./March issues, as members may not have sufficient time to respond if delivery of their newsletter is delayed. Likewise, submitted opportunities with deadlines falling between April 1-15 will not be included in Apr.May/June issues; those with July 1-15 deadlines will not be included in July/Aug./Sept. issues; and those with deadlines of October 1-15 will not be included in Oct./Nov.//Dec. issues of Sounding Board.

All submitted and approved opportunity listings, regardless
of deadline date, will appear here
on our website.

ACF charges no fee for brief Opportunity postings on its website and in its newsletter, but reserves the right to reject any such listings or display ads it deems inappropriate for inclusion.

To to inquire about taking out a paid display ad in Sounding Board, please contact jmichel@composersforum.org

You can also list calls for scores or other opportunity listings on a partner site, ArtsApp Media Management Software (www.artsapp.com). ArtsApp is Monster.com for the arts,
allowing for the submission, management and review of artist music, video, images, scores
and materials in a private, digital environment. Simply email your listings to opportunities@artsapp.com,
and mention the ACF website.

Your announcement will appear at the URL
http://artsapp.com/All-Opportunities.aspx.

ACF uses ArtsApp to manage scores and recordings for select national and international programs. Find more information about ArtsApp services at http://artsapp.com/Features.aspx.
